The Athletic Boosters supports ALL sports at Lackey High School. Teams may participate in approved fund raising activities on their own and request financial assistance from the Boosters to cover a share of the costs of equipment, uniforms, or facility improvement.
The Boosters provide plaques and awards for all sports awards ceremonies held after each sports season, including special awards for those teams that advance to regional or other levels of competition and acknowledge each volunteer in the sports awards program for each season during the school year.
Fundraising Events: The Boosters raise funds through the following events and activities:
- Homecoming Tailgate Party
- Homecoming Dance
- Spaghetti Dinner
- Lackey Apparel Sales
- Creative Memories Scrapbooking Class
- Wrestling Tournament
- Easter Bunny Breakfast
- Provided Concessions for most sports events held at the school throughout the school year.

- As noted before, we have two Board positions open. We really need the support of ALL our Parents. This organization exists to provide support for our children as they grow both academically and athletically. We raise money to provide them with the tools they need to do so, and to save parents out-of-pocket expenses. We are here for ALL sports. So please help as much as you can. Sign up to help out at the Concession stands. Help ensure your child sells as many tickets as possible to our fundraisers. Volunteer during one of these events. We need your talents, behind the scenes and/or in front!
Accomplishments for the 2005-2006 school year.
- We had a very productive year. We started in August with our account balance at about $39,196 and at the April meeting we had $39,395 (not including the deposits from the Bunny Breakfast). This was great!!

- $2,766 to Football for additional uniforms and equipment.
- $2,000 to Girls Basketball for new uniforms.
- $1,500 to Boys Basketball for uniforms and bags.
- $2,200 to Baseball for pitching machine, hose system, bats.
- $1,000 to Girls Soccer for new uniforms (2 teams now).

- $2,500 to Physical Ed Dept. for weight room modifications.
- $1,000 to Girls Softball for new team bats.
- Providing t-shirts for Championship basketball team.
- We did a good job of streamlining our processes so that no one was overworked and we didn't need as many volunteers. The wrestling tournament was a good example. With the menu we offered, it really didn't require that many people to work. With the turnout we had, probably could use less workers and start one hour earlier in the morning. We decided to do fewer things and just do the ones we did very well and that was successful. We were able to get many more new people involved with helping out in the concession stand this year. Fundraisers were great with approximately 300 people at the Spaghetti Dinner and 300 at the Easter Bunny Breakfast.
- We continued to use Chick-Fil-A to provide sandwiches to the concession stand for games and this was a huge success.
- New bleachers have been assembled and placed at the spring sports fields and they are getting a lot of use.
- This year we received scholarship applications from 2 boys and 9 girls. So we will be awarding two $1500 scholarships with the Lucas family at Senior Awards Night.
- Approved the purchase of 2 sea containers for storage for Mr. Anderson/Tennis and the Athletic Boosters ($3,915- $1800 each, plus $315 delivery).
